In this book, Julie Ellis and John Willinsky have collected together a series of articles on the difficulties of giftedness in girls and women. The question of gender and intelligence is a complex issue involving the family, the education system and society in general. Gender-related social stereotypes stand in the way of the development of talent among the female population. This book explores ways of advising, encouraging and offering role-models for women to feel able to fully develop their own potential.
